How do you build your own PC?

I want to learn to build a personal computer. What do you believe is the best way to go about this? Why or why not?

When you find your best deals, list them all and show them to a computer knowledgable person at a computer shop (hopefully where you are buying some stuff from - I would recommend the case, because then you can always go back there and ask how to hook something up and they should be familiar with it) and ask what they think and if everything is compatible. They should offer suggestions or let you know that you are doing good. If they don't, go to another one.

Build your Own Computer

Anybody who can follow simple directions can literally save themselves thousands of dollars on all their computer needs. The glossary even breaks down all the geek speak into simple terms.

With people already technologically educated, it is easier now for them to choose the specifications of the personal computer that they will be buying. Now, they can get ideas and advise from a lot of sources, in the Internet, in magazine reviews and even from computer shop managers who see personalized customer service as their edge over other stores.

It is actually pretty easy when you think about it. For although the computer is a lot of small computer parts, there are actually only a few that you should pay particular attention to. Here are some of them. Simply put, you do not have to know How it works to build a PC. All you need are simple step by step instructions about how to put it together.

Hey, parts is parts and you do not need someone confusing you with tech babble in order to con you into buying more expensive components than what you actually need. Anybody who can follow simple directions can literally save themselves thousands of dollars on all their computer needs. The glossary even breaks down all the geek speak into simple terms. Not only will you learn what components to buy, as a special bonus gives you the secret source for buying those components that the so-called experts use.

Processor

This is perhaps one of the most important and essential parts of the computer. Without a processor, you will not be able to make your PC work. This is the power behind the whole machine. It is also in the kind of processor where people can see the speed and the ease of use.

Although it is not really essential that you purchase the latest in the market, it is good to stick with the new series. For instance, if the latest is processor, then you can buy the lower speeds in the series if you do not have the budget.

Motherboard

This is the part where everything is hinged on. This is the reason why it is important for your motherboard to be really compatible with the other parts of the computer. You should also make sure that the motherboard is sturdy and with lots of expansion slots. Expansion slots will give you the option to add more hardware to your computer such as hard disk space and memory.

Hard Disk

It is in the hard disk that people store their files. Most people who are not so familiar with computers will think that it is the Memory part that takes care of this but actually, it is the hard disk that we consume every time we save something in the computer. It is also in the hard disk that we install programs like the operating system and other affiliate programs such as the Windows Office.

The bigger the hard disk, the better; but it is good to make partitions in your memory especially those that are really big. That way, when one part crashes, the other part is not harmed. It is also a good idea to install windows in one partition and then install the others in another.

RAM

RAM means Random Access Memory. Although much like the hard disk as it also stores data, the work of RAM is more on the on the spot memory requirements. For instance, when you open several windows and do work on several different programs all at the same time, you are using the memory of RAM. RAM can also affect the speed of the computer so make sure that you have a higher one.

Video card

This is the part of the computer which determines the condition of the graphics and the pictures. Notice when pictures seem blurred in some computers and not in others? This is because of the graphic or the video card. It is also these card which will determine if the computer can be used for high graphic games. Right now, it is recommended to buy a video card with higher memory because of the heavy use of videos and pictures.
